GVARC Field Day 2026: Fun, Radio and Fellowship
The Guadalupe Valley Amateur Radio Club invites local amateur radio operators, prospective hams, friends and families to join us for ARRL Field Day 2026, Saturday and Sunday, June 27–28.
Field Day is amateur radio’s annual open house and one of the biggest operating events of the year. Radio clubs and individual operators across North America set up stations, make contacts, test their skills and equipment, and demonstrate how amateur radio supports communication, preparedness and community service.
This year, GVARC will once again gather at Mike WQ5C’s QTH on River Road in New Braunfels for a relaxed weekend of operating, learning and socializing. The club plans to operate a home station on emergency power along with a temporary station. =======

We Emphasize FUN Over Competition!

Saturday Evening Cookout and Potluck
«««< HEAD One of the highlights of GVARC Field Day will be the Saturday evening cookout and potluck dinner. The club will provide the meat, with plans for hamburgers and hot dogs or sausage at a minimum.
Those attending are encouraged to bring an appetizer, side dish, dessert, drinks or other items to round out the meal. GVARC is planning for approximately 30 to 50 people at dinner, so a wide variety of contributions will be appreciated.
Members may sign up through the GVARC Groups.io Field Day potluck discussion or at the club’s regular Saturday breakfast gathering at Granzin’s BBQ. ======= One of the highlights of GVARC Field Day will be the Saturday evening cookout and potluck dinner.
